Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative field
- More than 1 year of related experience
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar
- Familiarity with at least one ETL tool (Alteryx, KNIME, SSIS, Pentaho, or DataStage)
- Comfort with big data architectures (AWS/Azure/on-premise)
- SQL skills (CTEs, windows functions)
- Distributed systems knowledge (HDFS, Hadoop ecosystem)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to synthesize requests from team members at client sites
- Motivated to discover and learn new analytical techniques and software tools
- Desire to actively engage in geographically dispersed teams
- Ability and willingness to work long hours and travel if necessary
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment
- Physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday
Responsibilities
- Create ETL workflows, scripts, statistical models, and visualizations
- Design, build, test, execution, and support of data migration, cleansing, wrangling
- Perform data modeling, data manipulation, data organization, data analysis, and data visualization
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders, building relationships, influencing, and providing advice to key decision-makers
- Prepare client-ready documents and compelling presentation materials
- Review and analyze legacy code/scripts to understand data processing logic and business rules
