Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership
- 8-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or at a major law firm
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders
- Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements considering various legal and commercial factors
- Prior experience with M&A or complex deal structuring is preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within the legal department
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently in a remote setup
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail for contract review and drafting
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business leaders to develop and drive contracting strategies related to strategic partnerships
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of vendor and partnership agreements
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract interpretation and compliance requirements
- Maintain databases for vendor and partnership contracts
- Prepare legal summaries and risk assessments on contract terms
- Support contract management processes and implement workflow improvements
- Coordinate with various teams on contract requirements and issues
- Facilitate meetings to resolve contract-related challenges
- Train non-legal teams on contract processes and legal requirements
