Requirements
- 8+ years of networking experience, including at least 5 years supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols such as BGP and OSPF, and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, VRRP; VXLAN is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and platforms including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (e.g., F5, FortiADC).
- Proficiency with network operating systems such as Junos, Arista EOS, ScreenOS, or similar platforms.
- Strong experience in high-availability, 24/7 production environments with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Solid troubleshooting skills using Linux tools, monitoring systems, and performance analysis techniques.
- Experience working in data center environments with exposure to network security and automation/DevOps practices.
- Ability to design and implement end-to-end network solutions from concept to production.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset and experience mentoring other engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP or CCDP are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability, security, and high performance of production network infrastructure through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and optimization.
- Design, implement, and evolve scalable network architectures to support business growth and new technical initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers in high-availability environments.
- Manage and maintain on-premises and data center network infrastructure, ensuring reliability and resilience.
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability of network operations.
- Design and implement network security strategies, including failover, disaster recovery, and threat mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers while documenting best practices and system improvements.
- Integrate AI-driven tools into network operations for enhanced monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance.
