Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in business administration or finance, with a strong preference for accounts payable experience.
  • At least 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience managing financial operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP and financial controls.
  • Knowledge of federal and regulatory frameworks such as FAR, JTR, and cost accounting standards (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems, along with familiarity with standard business tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and mentor teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of a global accounts payable team, including workload distribution, queue management, scheduling, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense vouchers, and employee reimbursements in compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Supervise month-end close activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls.
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Support budgeting processes and provide monthly financial analysis and variance reporting.
  • Review and improve AP systems, workflows, and standards to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership through coaching, performance management, and team development while resolving operational issues.
