Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in email marketing, content marketing, or a combined digital marketing role
- Hands-on experience with modern email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Customer.io, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar tools
- Solid understanding of audience segmentation, email list management, and deliverability best practices
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress and strong knowledge of on-page SEO fundamentals
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing performance data and translate insights into optimization actions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines independently
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, or Looker Studio is considered a plus
- Familiarity with academic, education, or student-focused audiences is advantageous
- Knowledge of technical email deliverability concepts such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and sender reputation management is a plus
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and manage broadcast email campaigns across acquisition lists, dormant audiences, and academic calendar initiatives
- Build, QA, segment, schedule, and launch campaigns within email service providers while ensuring proper tracking and deliverability
- Maintain list hygiene processes, unsubscribe management, and suppression handling to support healthy email performance
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, preview text, calls-to-action, and messaging strategies to improve engagement metrics
- Produce, edit, and publish SEO-focused blog articles, guides, and educational content aligned with the content roadmap
- Optimize existing website content through on-page SEO improvements, internal linking, metadata updates, and content refreshes
- Coordinate with freelance writers and editors when additional production support is required
- Track campaign and content performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, rankings, traffic, and conversions
- Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports while identifying optimization opportunities and recommending actionable improvements
- Collaborate closely with SEO and growth stakeholders to ensure campaigns and content initiatives align with broader acquisition goals
