Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in platform engineering with skills relevant to the role.
- Foundational understanding of Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
- Foundational understanding of Cloud Providers: Primarily AWS (ECS, RDS, SQS, etc.) and some GCP (Cloud Run, BigQuery, etc.)
- Foundational understanding of Containerization: Docker
- Foundational understanding of CI/CD & Automation: Possible experience with pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- Foundational understanding of Monitoring & Observability: Tools like Coralogix or similar.
- Foundational understanding of Scripting: We use Python and Bash for the scripts we integrate into our infrastructure or develop to support our automated tasks
- Ability and eagerness to contribute to solving common platform issues using established procedures
- Ability to identify opportunities for automation within solutions
- Value building strong, collaborative relationships
- Clearly communicate the status of your work on platform improvements
- Understand the needs of the developers who use the platform
- Natural inclination to automate repetitive tasks and continuously look for ways to make processes more efficient

Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve a cloud-native platform.
- Expand the platform's self-service capabilities, allowing engineering teams to manage their resources and workflows independently.
- Aggressively automate manual processes to reduce toil, increase reliability, and improve developer efficiency.
- Ensure the platform remains highly observable, scalable, and secure as it evolves.
- Monitoring and proactively managing the infrastructure to meet its requirements.
- Ensure continuous service availability and operational integrity 24/7, which includes participation in a compensated on-call rotation.
