Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience with AI-driven software development practices and tooling in cloud-native environments
- Proficiency in one or more of: Java/Spring Boot, Python (Flask/FastAPI)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and modern CI/CD practices
- 2+ years in an engineering leadership role
- Experience with agile delivery at scale: sprint planning, risk tracking, cross-functional stakeholder communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments
- Familiarity with containerized workloads — Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), AWS ECS
- Background in regulated or clinical software environments (HIPAA, GxP, SOC 2) or demonstrated ability to operate in high-accountability delivery contexts
- Prior experience building or scaling teams in India-based engineering organizations
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in code reviews across Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices in AWS-based environments, leveraging the team's Java, Python, and MongoDB stack
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and hold the team accountable to build, test, and deploy quality
- Manage 6–10 engineers across one to two agile teams; own their growth, performance, and day-to-day wellbeing
- Partner with your teams on quarterly planning, translating product and business priorities into well-structured engineering roadmaps
- Maintain clear release schedules and communicate confidently with Product, Customer Operations, and senior engineering leadership
