Requirements
- 3–5 years of reporting and SQL experience (writing, reviewing, enhancing, and debugging code).
- Ability to connect and integrate data from multiple systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong proficiency in SAS.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle EPM (Hyperion/Brio).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong proficiency in Business Objects.
- Proven experience in data modeling, transformations, and metric development.
- Strong analytical instincts and ability to dig into data to identify root causes.
- Solid understanding of data environments, including operational data stores and data warehouses (e.g., Teradata, Snowflake, MongoDB).
- Experience in business intelligence, data validation, quality controls, and data security/risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to build reports and dashboards.
- Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
- Effective communication, creativity, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
- Experience leveraging data analytics within group benefits (e.g., health, dental, disability, life) to analyze enrollment, claims, and customer data (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, development, and implementation of customer reporting and business intelligence solutions.
- Partner with business units, I/S, and external customers to deliver data reporting solutions.
- Act as a liaison for collaboration, data access, quality, and issue resolution.
- Understand and influence data management processes, including data feeds, extraction, distribution, and adherence to standards.
- Design, build, and maintain complex reporting systems across multiple environments.
- Test and implement business intelligence tools.
- Maintain technical expertise in relevant programming languages.
- Provide governance and leadership through data quality standards and process improvements.
- Mentor team members and support analysis, issue resolution, and performance reporting for stakeholders.
