Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar.
  • 7+ years of applicable work experience, or equivalent experience in a senior sourcing role, within a high volume global manufacturing business.
  • Strong background in global sourcing with the ability to negotiate complex contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience of Value Analysis/Value Engineering processes.
  • Deep understanding of Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Relationship Management, and Contract negotiations.
  • 3+ years of experience within coiled steel, aluminum extrusions, or roll-formed steel (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in complex contract negotiation (preferred).
  • Experience with index-based pricing contracts (preferred).
  • Familiar with multi-tier price structures and rebate agreements (preferred).
  • Strong foundational knowledge and acumen in procurement and category management.
  • Professional knowledge to support, advise and deliver on the strategy underpinning global sourcing delivery of key KPIs.
  • Project management skills including excellent planning, time management, decision making and organization skills.
  • Advanced Software skillset to include M/S Powerpoint, Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of assigned commodities for the North American region.
  • Establish and implement short and long term strategies for continued cost reduction and value improvement.
  • Negotiate all major contracts and agreements within the category to deliver the best value to JELD-WEN.
  • Take ownership of the Metals Category, including Steel Coil, Aluminum Extrusions, and Roll Formed Steel.
  • Manage all commercial relationships with suppliers within assigned category areas, securing targeted levels of cost, quality, delivery, sustainability.
  • Develop and implement approved category strategies that actively search for performance improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Drive value through strategic sourcing and entering into cost effective Supply Agreements.
  • Manage the total lifecycle of supplier contracts.
  • Manage supplier relationships to drive supplier development and integration for existing, new and potential suppliers.
  • Serve as the SME for commodity price trends and advise the business on future impact.
