Requirements

8+ years in finance or accounting with demonstrated leadership experience
CPA strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field
Deep understanding of startup financial operations and GAAP accounting
Proficiency with Carta, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and similar tools
Experience in a venture-backed startup environment
Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Able to lead independently with minimal ramp time

Responsibilities

Drive financial governance and compliance
Manage accounting oversight during a pivotal growth phase
Collaborate with various teams to ensure financial integrity
Support the organization in navigating financial complexities while maintaining operational efficiency
Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and help maintain proactive financial strategies
Own GAAP-compliant books and manage the monthly close process
Ensure audit readiness and monitor cash health
Serve as primary liaison to external auditors and tax advisors
Maintain and strengthen internal controls across financial operations
Oversee equity administration and investor reporting requirements
Prepare Budget vs. Actual reporting and support departmental budget alignment
Ensure compliance frameworks are maintained and audit-ready
