Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
- Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field of study preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, 2 additional years of construction, repair, or maintenance experience in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
- Ability to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position – up to 100%.
- Industrial gas or high-pressure systems experience highly preferred.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of skill with mechanical systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to diagnose system failures and isolate root cause.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for reporting and email correspondence.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- High degree of familiarity with industrial hydrogen systems and performance.
- Ability to be on-call and to respond to urgent needs.
- Knowledge of environmental impact on equipment function and performance.
- Ability to safely operate and control combustibles.
Responsibilities
- Travel as needed to customer sites to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of Plug power products including hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary.
- Execute and lead high level service repair projects on existing hydrogen infrastructure, including specialized service procedures including liquid tank repairs and vacuum jacket line repairs, etc.
- Provide training to first responders, customers, and other Plug service personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of Hydrogen infrastructure.
- Support the commissioning and ongoing maintenance and operation of industrial hydrogen infrastructure.
- Interpret electrical wiring schematics.
- Conduct Point to Point functionality testing.
- Pressure test piping systems per ASME standards.
- Test and troubleshoot program issues with engineering assistance.
- Inspect process piping systems (pressure ratings, fittings, etc.).
- Provide documented results from system testing and commissioning at the completion of each project.
- Create, track, and close out project task lists.
- Diagnose system problems and troubleshoot solutions.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and P&IDs.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision while achieving high quality results.
- Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times.
