Requirements
- 5+ years of backend and/or data engineering experience
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy back-end applications based on provided specifications
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, effectively engaging with individuals at varying levels of technical fluency
- Excellent project management abilities, including setting realistic timelines, communicating progress, and delivering on commitments
- Collaborative mindset, with enthusiasm for working in diverse teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of full-stack products from data layer through to user-facing interface
- Design and build data pipelines, internal tools, and automation systems that serve Voleon's financial operations teams
- Integrate with enterprise systems including our accounting platform, broker data feeds, and internal APIs
- Build reconciliation frameworks and monitoring tools that give our teams confidence in their data
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into well-scoped, well-built solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and help the team level up on design, testing, and delivery practices
- Evaluate and adopt new tools thoughtfully
