- Proficient in using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for brainstorming, outlining, and drafting.
- Technical curiosity and eagerness to learn the nuances of SQL and the database market.
- Comfortable "interviewing" stakeholders to extract great stories.
- Organizational skills to keep projects on track and stakeholders informed.
- Competitive drive to succeed in search rankings.
Responsibilities
- Execute a content strategy that aligns with corporate messaging to reposition MariaDB as the modern, higher-value alternative to MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Own our visibility in the new search landscape, optimizing content not just for Google, but for LLM (Large Language Model) rankings.
- Build and own the global editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent, high-quality "drumbeat" of content.
- Act as the primary editor and a key writer, working with internal engineers and external freelancers to publish regular, high-impact blogs and articles.
- Use AI writing and research tools as a core part of your workflow to 10x your output.
- Establish a clear process for content production, giving the entire organization visibility into what is being published and when.
