  • Proficient in using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to brainstorm, outline, and draft
  • Technical curiosity about SQL and the database market
  • Comfortable "interviewing" stakeholders to extract great stories
  • Organizational skills (e.g., Kanban board or spreadsheet proficiency)
  • Competitive drive to win the "search war" against competitors

Responsibilities

  • Execute a content strategy that aligns with corporate messaging to reposition MariaDB as the modern, higher-value alternative to MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Own our visibility in the new search landscape, optimizing content for Google and LLM rankings
  • Build and own the global editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent, high-quality "drumbeat" of content (blogs, articles)
  • Act as the primary editor and a key writer, working with internal engineers and external freelancers to publish regular, high-impact blogs and articles
  • Use AI writing and research tools as a core part of your workflow to 10x your output
  • Establish a clear process for content production, giving the entire organization visibility into what is being published and when
