Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or distributed systems development
- 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing senior engineers and technical teams
- Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and large-scale distributed systems
- Deep expertise in data engineering, including pipelines, orchestration, and large-scale processing systems
- Experience designing and operating multi-tenant, highly available, and secure platforms
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability practices
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives from design through production delivery
- Experience working in ambiguous environments with strong prioritization and execution discipline
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with organizational leadership responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for a large-scale clinical data platform
- Drive design decisions across distributed systems, data pipelines, storage, and multi-cloud infrastructure
- Oversee execution of complex platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and product priorities
- Translate product and business requirements into clear engineering plans with measurable outcomes
- Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team, including senior engineers and technical leads
- Establish engineering best practices across code quality, system reliability, and operational excellence
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, security, and compliance in a regulated healthcare environment
- Drive infrastructure strategy including cloud architecture, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, Infrastructure, and ML teams
- Influence company-wide technical direction for data architecture and platform scalability
