Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in systematic trading, options market-making, or low-latency trading systems
- Strong hands-on experience with Rust, C++, or C, with willingness to deepen Rust expertise if needed
- Deep understanding of algorithmic options trading, including quoting, execution, pricing, and risk systems
- Proven experience building or maintaining low-latency trading systems in derivatives or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, service architecture, and production-grade reliability principles
- Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) in production environments
- Familiarity with gRPC and Node.js-based services is a plus
- Experience with market data systems, exchange connectivity, or FPGA technologies is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Strong ownership mindset and pragmatic approach to balancing speed, safety, and system complexity
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Options Engineering team of approximately 7 engineers
- Own the architecture, evolution, and performance of a Rust-based systematic options trading platform
- Drive development of core trading systems including automated quoting, execution, pricing, and risk controls
- Ensure reliability, low-latency performance, and robustness across production trading infrastructure
- Collaborate with trading, quant, risk, product, and infrastructure teams to align system design with business needs
- Oversee technical decision-making across distributed systems, service design, and production scalability
- Improve engineering standards, testing frameworks, and production validation practices
- Take ownership of production systems, ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement
