Requirements
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems
- Proficient in Python or Kotlin
- Familiar with building blocks of distributed systems
- Familiar with AWS
- Familiar with MySQL
- Familiar with Kubernetes
- Mastered taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components
- Executing on solutions by writing clear, easily understood, well tested and extensible code
- Comfortable navigating a large code base
- Debugging others' code
- Providing feedback to other engineers through code reviews
- Takes ownership of growth, proactively seeking feedback
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Break down larger projects into individual tasks
- Deliver projects in multiple phases
- Collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery of work
- Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle
- Collaborate with product management, design & analytics
- Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on decisions
- Support the operations and availability of team artifacts
- Create and monitor metrics
- Escalate when needed and support “keep the lights on” & on-call efforts
- Contribute to a sense of community by engaging in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process
