- Professional experience as a backend engineer
- Expertise in cloud microservice architecture
- Expertise in systems design
- Expertise in Go
- Expertise in Kubernetes
- Comfortable working in a remote-first company with strong communication skills
- Experience working with AI/LLM-powered systems
- Familiarity with other backend languages (besides Go)
- Experience with Jsonnet for configuration
- Experience with Terraform for configuration
- Experience with Docker for containerization
- Strong experience with designing and developing software that runs in the Cloud or experience with systems engineering
- Solid experience with distributed systems
- Familiarity with being on-call and performing operational/SRE tasks
- Experience with the latest LLM models and workflows
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in the design and development of internal cloud services and key user-facing features
- Enhance the querying experience through improving how queries are transformed, routed, and delivered at scale
- Influence the design of the microservice architecture
- Support the reliability, scalability, and operations of data sources in Grafana Cloud
- Engineer new connection types to remote data sources
- Collaborate with engineers and teams across the Grafana division
- Take an active role in influencing the roadmap and personal career objectives
