15+ years experience managing engineering teams and coaching individuals
Deep engineering leadership experience
Navigated the dynamic of carrying meaningful technical responsibilities while managing a team
Experience leading engineering teams through hypergrowth, rapid organizational change, or the transition from startup to scale
Understand how to influence and build credibility across organizational boundaries, especially across different offices and cultures
Ability to help engineering leaders develop visibility and impact beyond their immediate teams
Desire to turn people leadership skills into meaningful coaching skills
Excited about growing coaching skills and bring a growth-mindset
Passionate about helping people advance in the workplace to build fulfilling careers and lives
Self-aware, high emotional IQ, and cares about creating a safe space for others
Comfortable working in a constantly-changing startup environment
Able to dedicate a minimum of 12+ hours per month to coaching at Mento for the next 24+ months
Background in AI/ML engineering organizations, infrastructure, security engineering, or developer platforms (nice to have)
Prior experience at a U.S. HQ’d technology company or global technology company across multiple offices (nice to have)

Responsibilities

Providing 1:1 coaching to Mento members through virtual sessions using the Mento Platform & Tools.
Participating in ongoing training sessions to improve coaching abilities and skills.
Communicating with members via your Mento email or via chat in the Mento App in between sessions.
Being an integral member of the Mento coaching community by sharing coaching tools and insights.
Acting with kindness, respect, and empathy as an ambassador of the Mento community.
