Requirements
- 2-4 years of UI/UX design experience
- Experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments
- Graphic design capabilities (preferred)
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer
- Basic HTML5 skills (plus)
- Basic CSS3 skills (plus)
- Basic JavaScript skills (plus)
- Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions
- Deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- Solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD)
- Experience planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis
- Knowledge of usability and accessibility concerns
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
- Clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Would like to work as part of a self-organizing Scrum team in a scaled agile framework
- Must be a self-starter and loves to collaborate with the team and client
Responsibilities
- Responsible for understanding project briefs and converting that into appealing user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces, and for internal review and brainstorming.
- Capable of generating user personas and user scenarios.
- Facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to seek deeper appreciation of our problem/goals through usability tests.
- Develop understanding of the end users of the web application or mobile application through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data).
- Keep abreast of new technology trends that may significantly affect the operations of the Client.
- Assist in pre-sales, post-sales and product development to win and maintain clients
- Share knowledge and best practices with Client and Umpisa Team.
