Experience: 5+ years

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments supporting construction and/or operations
Deep practical understanding of electrical power distribution equipment assembly and installation
Hands-on experience with on site construction and partnering with third-party general contractors and electrical subcontractors
Strong project management skills to assist in monitoring schedules, spotting bottlenecks, and driving on time completion in a technical position
Ability to troubleshoot complex field installation issues and implement practical, code-compliant solutions on the fly
Flexibility to travel frequently or reside near assigned project site - minimum of 50% of time on site

Responsibilities

Support the on-site installation, quality assurance, functional checkout, testing, and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure
Monitor the deployment of advanced power backup and conditioning systems
Support and direct involvement in substation protection system management
Technical support for RFI process
Technical support for temporary power and electrical switching
Track construction progress against project milestones and ensure adherence to Basis of Design and engineering specifications
Support rapid resolution of RFIs and Field Engineering Directives between contractors and the internal design team
Own critical lessons learned and field service bulletins that have design ramifications
Support all levels 1-5 of commissioning activities in partnership with Crusoe’s Cx team, reviewing commissioning documents for technical accuracy and assurance of design intent met
Be an electrical safety champion in partnership with Crusoe’s construction partners
