Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or validation in data-intensive environments
- 2+ years of experience leading or coordinating technical or data-focused teams
- Strong SQL expertise and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, InterSystems IRIS)
- Experience validating ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data integration systems
- Proven experience with data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance in healthcare or enterprise environments
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-stakeholder, Agile, and data-driven environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead the Validation Team supporting Data Syndication activities, including task prioritization, workload distribution, and quality oversight
- Serve as the primary point of contact for validation efforts across data integration, mapping, and ingestion workflows
- Provide mentorship and guidance to data analysts and quality analysts
- Coordinate validation activities across data engineering, integration, and architecture teams
- Oversee validation of data ingested from Oracle Health into VA environments, ensuring alignment with source systems and enterprise standards
- Ensure validation processes meet defined accuracy thresholds (typically ≥98%) and escalate discrepancies as needed
- Lead reconciliation efforts, including source-to-target comparisons, anomaly detection, and defect resolution
- Validate ETL/ELT outputs, execution logs, and ingestion results to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Produce and oversee validation reports for weekly and monthly program reporting
- Track data quality metrics, validation outcomes, and trends, providing visibility to leadership
