Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
- 2+ years of proficiency in Python, Ruby, Java, Go, or Rust
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or similar)
- Ability to effectively prompt and collaborate with LLMs to accelerate development
- 2+ years of experience with common web technologies, frameworks, and paradigms
- 2+ years of experience applying fundamental software engineering concepts, conventions, and best practices
- 2+ years of experience with unit tests and testing best practices
- Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate and refine AI-generated code
- Experience developing on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure
- 5+ years of professional software development experience (preferred)
- Experience building, deploying, or integrating AI agents and agentic systems (preferred)
- Experience with Python and Django (preferred)
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker (preferred)
- Experience with React (preferred)
- Understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns and vector databases (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Scale a revolutionary means of communication and help change the way people understand each other
- Build, maintain, and test new and existing features using modern AI-assisted development workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, Go-to-market teams) to improve existing features, build new ones, and scale the platform
- Write, maintain, and test code
- Leverage LLMs and AI coding assistants to accelerate development velocity while maintaining high code quality standards
- Identify and resolve issues, bugs, and requests efficiently with AI-augmented debugging and analysis
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to build engaging features for users
- Collaborate with team to design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and efficient software solutions which will leverage 3rd party APIs (e.g. LLMs) into the product
- Build and integrate AI agents and agentic workflows into the platform and development processes
- Support internal teams with engineering expertise
- Collaborate with other engineers to improve the codebase and the architecture and systems supporting it
- Contribute to and refine AI-first development practices and tooling
- Work with other engineers to build complex features
