Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years.
- Deep expertise with C++17 and recent standards.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and system integration.
- Experience working with autonomous systems, robotics, or complex embedded environments using pub-sub middleware.
- Strong experience with testing, continuous integration, and build systems.
- Extensive experience in systems-level software design, managing technical debt, and refactoring large codebases.
- Proven track record of mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards.
- Mastery of software fundamentals including modular architecture, design patterns, and concurrency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of core autonomy stack frameworks.
- Drive technical direction for real-time C++ components managing system-wide data flow and coordination.
- Collaborate with Behavior and Perception teams to maintain clean integration boundaries and coherent abstractions.
- Establish engineering standards for reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Mentor software engineers through architectural guidance and code reviews.
- Champion platform robustness through testing strategies, observability, and production readiness practices.
- Contribute to root cause analysis of complex platform-level issues.
- Define and evolve simulation and validation frameworks for rigorous testing.
