Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Software Testing/SDET roles
- Strong expertise in API testing (REST, JSON, HTTP, authentication mechanisms)
- Proven experience in API automation frameworks
- Excellent coding skills with TypeScript / JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation
- Strong understanding of test design patterns, automation best practices, and SDET principles
- Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, REST clients, or similar
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs and web applications
- Lead API testing efforts, including functional, integration, regression, and contract testing
- Build and enhance API automation suites with robust validation and reporting
- Develop end-to-end automation using Playwright with TypeScript
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code following best practices
- Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and product teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios
- Drive shift-left testing practices and ensure test coverage early in the development lifecycle
- Review test cases, automation code, and provide mentorship to junior SDETs
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and ensure automation runs as part of release pipelines
- Proactively identify quality risks and drive improvements in testing strategies and processes
