Requirements
- 7+ years in software engineering
- Minimum 2 years leading HIPAA/HITRUST initiatives
- Deep expertise with Azure cloud services
- Deep expertise with .NET 10
- Deep expertise with C#
- Experience integrating with EHR platforms using FHIR
- Experience integrating with EHR platforms using HL7
- Strong familiarity with HITRUST framework
- Strong familiarity with HIPAA framework
- Strong familiarity with SOC 2 framework
- Proven experience designing secure, scalable, audit-ready systems
- Background in systems handling sensitive health, clinical, or biosensor data
- Strong leadership, architectural thinking, and cross-functional communication
- Ability to break down complex health workflows into scalable, secure solutions
- Comfortable working in a high-velocity startup environment
Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of HIPAA- and HITRUST-compliant systems.
- Translate regulatory requirements into actionable engineering decisions.
- Ensure continuous compliance, audit readiness, and rigorous documentation.
- Lead risk assessments, security reviews, and compliance controls.
- Architect secure, cloud-native systems in Azure + .NET 10.
- Design APIs and data pipelines for clinical and wellness data.
- Drive all EHR integrations (FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR) and lab diagnostics connections.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices for performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Define the long-term architecture for health and biomarker data pipelines.
- Build and maintain scalable integrations with labs, diagnostics partners, CGMs, wearables, and biosensors.
- Collaborate with clinical and nutrition science teams to encode emerging research into platform logic.
- Mentor engineers on compliance, cloud architecture, and secure system design.
