- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching
- Strong experience with Cisco Meraki
- Solid Palo Alto firewall administration experience
- Strong understanding of: VLANs
- Strong understanding of: Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Strong understanding of: VPNs
- Strong understanding of: Network security best practices
- Experience supporting enterprise or production environments
- Comfortable being the engineer who actually fixes the issue, not just escalates
- Preferred experience: Manufacturing, automotive, or industrial network environments
- Preferred experience: Supporting plant or factory networks
- Preferred experience: High-availability and redundancy designs
- Preferred experience: Supporting mission-critical systems
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching environments
- Support Cisco and Cisco Meraki network infrastructure (switching, wireless, security appliances)
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPNs, and security rules
- Own network issues end-to-end, from investigation through resolution
- Respond to major network incidents on an as-needed basis
- Support production and business-critical systems with high uptime requirements
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain stable, secure network operations
