Requirements:
4+ years as a design practitioner Hands-on with a strong focus on digital (designing) Experienced in directing complex, commercial, design projects involving senior stakeholders and interdisciplinary creative teams Strong experience across multiple industries Highly creative with the ability to generate ideas and practically contribute to design details Exceptional pure graphic design and typography skills Deep technical design skills in one or more discipline (e.g., Content Creation, Design for Digital, Brand Immersion, Events, Design for Print, User Experience) Proven ability to communicate and liaise with all levels in the business Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including outside the design team Proven ability to effectively manage creative teams Director level written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking Proficient in Adobe CC, Microsoft Office, and other related software Be a driven, proactive, helpful, and enthusiastic team player Mentor, develop and/or line manage the team Experience on beauty brands (good to have) Multi-market experience (good to have) Basic understanding and genuine interest in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies (good to have)
Responsibilities:
Oversee and direct conceptual and design projects Responsible for the quality of ideas and end-to-end design execution Oversee multiple simultaneous live projects Direct, inspire, lead, and support design and creative talent Define and advance a positive and highly productive design culture Motivate and influence the creative team to strive for excellence Proactively monitor the quality of design projects Oversee and manage the timely delivery of all jobs / projects Investigate, propose, and implement innovative ways of delivering design services Actively oversee and manage team meetings, forward scheduling meetings, and work review meetings Manage, oversee, and coordinate knowledge sharing and learning within the team Organize monthly work / successes / learnings / presentations Attend client meetings, present work, discuss needs, and identify opportunities Assign creative leads and develop accounts and teams Keep abreast of and drive global creative trends Work with the workflow / studio manager in coordinating effective allocation of design talent Act as brand guardian Work actively with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the highest level of client service Manage, train, and mentor staff and oversee their professional development Ensure all staff members accurately record timesheets
