Requirements:
10+ years of professional software development experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel Proven experience building production APIs, webhooks, and real-time integration flows Strong understanding of API authentication/authorization patterns, request validation, rate limiting, and idempotency Experience with background jobs/queues, retry strategies, and durable session state Solid database modeling and performance fundamentals with MySQL or PostgreSQL Demonstrated competence in security practices for handling sensitive customer data (PII) Bilingual proficiency to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and webhook handlers using PHP/Laravel Integrate the chatbot with internal and external systems securely Build endpoints to manage session persistence Implement live agent transfer workflows Develop and deploy new AI summarizer endpoints Ensure secure handling of PII and sensitive customer data Document endpoint specifications, payload examples, integration notes, and deployment instructions Collaborate with product and operations teams on flow triggers, escalation rules, and acceptance testing
