Lead Tableau Developer

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred) At least 7+ years of Tableau experience At least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity guiding BI or visualization projects Proven success building and optimizing complex Tableau dashboards Expert-level SQL skills with ability to work with large and complex datasets Strong understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and BI architecture Experience setting Tableau standards, driving governance, and mentoring team members Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills Familiarity with Python or R is a plus A proactive, ownership-driven attitude

Lead the design, development, and delivery of Tableau dashboards Set up data sources including published data sources, custom SQL, and Snowflake connections Create high-performing, visually compelling dashboards Guide and mentor junior developers Set best practices for dashboard design and data governance Ensure consistency and quality across team deliverables Work closely with Data Engineering and BI Architecture teams to optimize data models Identify new opportunities for analytics and dashboard automation Solve complex data challenges and uncover insights using SQL Translate business problems into data-driven dashboards Build standardized, reusable data sources and automation processes Act as the primary Tableau subject matter expert for key business stakeholders Lead discussions to gather requirements and translate needs into BI solutions Communicate insights and technical details to technical and non-technical audiences Create and maintain development standards, documentation, and dashboard governance processes Organize enablement sessions and support data literacy efforts Ensure dashboards are maintained, certified, and performance-optimized
