Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities field (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.).
- 1+ years of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center.
- GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct small groups of students in English core skills for college readiness exams.
- Track student progress through the curriculum and engage them in individualized growth.
- Model professionalism and organizational skills by responding promptly and maintaining schedules.
- Spearhead the development and creative execution of lesson plans and curriculum.
- Mentor middle and high school students with empathy, understanding the competitive college application process.
