At least 4 years of professional experience in Occupational Health and Safety Experience evaluating situations and making determinations when workers refuse to work due to perceived danger or potential harm Experience supplying, operating, and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE) Experience training workers in safety procedures Experience testing workplaces for environmental hazards Experience maintaining required environmental records and documentation Experience providing consultation on workplace safety principles, practices, and techniques Experience inspecting fire suppression and portable fire systems Experience verifying availability and monitoring use of safety equipment Experience recommending corrective measures based on environmental contaminant analysis results Experience preparing or reviewing specifications and purchase orders for safety equipment Experience preparing or calibrating equipment used to collect or analyze environmental and safety samples Experience conducting worker studies to determine whether illnesses or diseases are job-related Experience planning and conducting emergency response drills Experience examining credentials, licenses, and permits Experience reviewing records and reports related to laboratory results, staffing, floor plans, fire inspections, and sanitation Experience educating the public on health issues and enforcing health legislation Experience preparing documentation for legal proceedings and providing testimony Experience collecting data on potential hazards associated with new equipment or products Experience maintaining logbooks of daily activities Experience assisting in directing rescue or firefighting operations Experience testing or balancing newly installed HVAC systems Experience conferring with schools, state authorities, and community groups Experience collecting data related to ecological and human health risks Experience conducting interviews to gather information on communicable diseases or violations of health and sanitation regulations Experience performing tests to identify hazards related to recycled products Experience examining practices at green building sites to assess impact on worker safety Ability to participate in asynchronous work
