Software Engineer (Accounts & Billing)

Expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript, with experience developing and maintaining production-quality software Proficiency with Ruby for backend services and API development Background with React is helpful, though not required Production experience delivering features and services that serve large user bases Experience writing high-quality, testable code that’s reliable and maintainable Comfortable using and experimenting with AI-assisted development tools Strong written and verbal communication skills, ideally in asynchronous, remote-first environments Critical thinking abilities and a solution-oriented approach Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching Collaborative approach to problem-solving Growth mindset and openness to learning new tools, technologies, and best practices

Ship reliable, scalable, performant code across the product suite using TypeScript, JavaScript, Ruby, and React Lead medium-sized projects from conception to delivery, including writing RFCs and managing project timelines Build and maintain user-facing features and product APIs that scale to serve millions of developers Apply foundational engineering practices like testing, documentation, observability, and performance optimization Contribute to prototypes and production-ready applications Improve reliability, test coverage, and observability of the billing and account system Practice proactive async communication and document workflows and decision-making Participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and continuous improvement efforts Partner with Product and Finance teams on user acquisition, conversion, and monetization initiatives
