Manager, Public Policy for Community Philanthropy

5 years of directly related political science, public policy, or related field experience 4 years of experience working with members of Congress and their staff Currently a registered lobbyist or willing to register Based in the Washington, D.C. metro area Demonstrated experience analyzing tax legislation and policy Understanding of the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors Strong writing and project management skills Ability to work and engage across the political spectrum Experience or ability to use CRM database solutions, preferably Salesforce Proficient skill in Microsoft Office 365 applications

Support a coalition of community foundation leaders by keeping them informed and engaged in policy work. Track, monitor, research, and analyze policy proposals, legislation, and regulations affecting community philanthropy. Monitor policy-related news and publications. Develop written policy materials for community foundations. Build and maintain relationships with Congressional staff, federal agencies, coalition partners, and stakeholders. Support lobbying and advocacy efforts. Support communications initiatives related to public policy. Support Public Policy team's programming and member engagement. Participate in cross-functional working groups and collaborate with staff on priorities and events.
