Tenured UX Researcher ready to own the function or leading research in a small team 6+ years of hands-on UX research experience in product-led organizations Experience in B2C or health/fitness/behaviour-change (plus) Worked in or closely with cross-functional squads Experience as the first or one of few researchers Well-versed in a variety of mixed research methods Fluent in core qual methods (in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, usability testing, JTBD Research, concept testing) Comfortable with surveys and quantitative research Able to analyze large sets of quantitative data Knows how to right-size the method to the question Excellent at synthesis and storytelling Comfortable working solo while influencing senior stakeholders Enjoys coaching designers and PMs to become better at research Can prioritise ruthlessly Highly organised and structured Proactive and takes the initiative Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Cares deeply about ethics, inclusivity, and representing diverse member perspectives Communicates clearly, writes well, and prefers simple, direct language

Own end-to-end UX research practice Enable PMs and Designers to run high-quality research Manage and coordinate external UXR contractors Shape research roadmap and operations Hire and mentor an internal research team (eventually) Lead research strategy & roadmap Lead end-to-end design, planning, and execution of user research studies Partner to define a research roadmap Identify member problems and opportunity spaces Champion a member-first, evidence-led culture Plan and run end-to-end studies across the product lifecycle Use mixed methods appropriately Turn research into clear, actionable insights Collaborate to translate insights into flows, copy, and experiences Handle research requests with clear scope Create lightweight toolkits for PMs and Designers Provide coaching and feedback on team-run research Establish research operations foundations Work with Data and Science to triangulate insights Coordinate and quality-assure work from UXR contractors Decide when to do research yourself vs. empower others vs. bring in external help Help define the longer-term org shape for UX Research Support hiring, onboarding, and mentoring additional UX Researchers
