Data Science Lead

BS or MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. 8+ years of experience in data strategy, data science, or analytics leadership. Proven experience in data modeling, governance, and architecture design in a modern cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Experience managing and mentoring technical data teams. Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, APIs, and data warehouse technologies. Proficiency with SQL, Python, and statistical or ML libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch). Familiarity with data governance and catalog tools. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Lead overall data strategy, aligning data initiatives with business goals. Manage a team of data engineers, analysts, and data scientists. Define and implement a data governance framework. Partner with teams to translate analytical needs into data models and workflows. Serve as the data domain expert advising on data science and AI trends. Design and oversee enterprise-wide data models and schemas. Collaborate on implementing scalable data pipelines and integrations. Define standards for data cataloging, documentation, and lineage tracking. Oversee data governance tooling and enforce compliance. Translate data into insights to empower decision-making. Establish best practices for analytics and model development. Evaluate and recommend AI/ML opportunities. Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure data quality and impact.
