Senior Software Engineer Electron - Remote from Portugal

At least 5+ years of experience with deep expertise in Electron and the Node.js ecosystem. Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred) for desktop applications. Knowledge of code signing (Apple/Windows) and auto-update mechanisms. Experience establishing E2E testing strategies for desktop applications using tools like Playwright or Cypress. Rigorous about security and understanding the implications of browser versions and third-party dependencies. Preference for robust, automated solutions over manual processes. Autonomous and capable of delivering complex infrastructure projects on time.

Own the lifecycle of our desktop app, managing publishing, code signing, notarization, and auto-updates. Design and maintain robust CI pipelines (GitLab CI) with automated testing strategies for Electron. Safely navigate major version bumps of Electron and Chromium. Debug and optimize application performance, focusing on memory leaks and CPU usage. Maintain and extend native integrations with USB telephony hardware. Participate in an on-call rotation.
