Senior Software Engineer Frontend Platform - Remote from Portugal

7+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on large-scale frontend architecture Proven track record of decoupling monolithic applications or building plugin architectures Proficient in React and TypeScript Deep knowledge of bundlers (Vite preferred), TanStack ecosystem (Router, Query), and monorepo tools (Turborepo, pnpm workspaces) Experience with GraphQL architectures Strong opinions (loosely held) on Micro-Frontends vs. Modular Monoliths Stay current with modern development practices and tooling, including AI-assisted development tools Business-centric approach to technical architecture Excellent communication skills

Evolve frontend architecture from a centralized monorepo to a true platform Implement architectural patterns (Module Federation, package isolation, plugin architectures) Build tooling, contracts, and isolation layers for feature teams Establish clear boundaries and APIs between platform and features Standardize patterns for routing, data fetching, state management, and styling Define and enforce coding standards, performance budgets, and architectural guidelines Mentor engineers and align stakeholders on technical vision Drive projects to increase platform resilience and scalability
