Requirements:
4-8 years of professional software development experience Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js in a production environment Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (or other relational databases) Experience deploying and monitoring applications in AWS Comfortable contributing across both backend and frontend stacks
Responsibilities:
Build and scale Node.js/Express services Design and maintain RESTful APIs Work with PostgreSQL to design schemas and optimize queries Integrate message queues (SQS, Kafka, or similar) Develop responsive, maintainable user interfaces using React and TypeScript Design and refine prompts for large language models Integrate AI capabilities (e.g., AWS Bedrock) into existing workflows Experiment with AI-powered features Deploy and manage services in AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.) Implement CI/CD pipelines and observability tools Own features end-to-end Participate in code reviews, share best practices, and mentor other engineers Contribute to technical architecture discussions and decisions Be a steward of crafting great user experiences
