Requirements:
6+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex production systems. Experience writing backend services (Python or Node.js ideal). Proficiency in API design, database modeling, and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding and leverage of AI tooling for development acceleration. Experience with or implementation of components like model context protocol or agent frameworks. Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and evolve core APIs for agent actions across Zapier's ecosystem. Build scalable orchestration, robust logging, and high-availability execution systems. Collaborate on the architecture for model context protocol (MCP) primitives. Integrate with existing execution infrastructure and build interfaces between LLMs and automations. Partner with Product, Platform, and Sales teams to define protocol needs. Drive design decisions for scalability, performance, security, and clarity.
