Proven experience working in high-growth startup environments. Strong portfolio of shipped web applications with significant AI-driven features or tooling. Expertise in modern web development technologies, including Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern CI/CD workflows. Deep understanding of software architecture, AI/ML, API design, and scalable systems. Proven experience in driving complex engineering projects from idea to execution. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). Excellent communication skills, with a knack for cross-functional collaboration.

Provide technical direction across web development initiatives using technologies such as Ruby (on Rails), JavaScript, React, and other modern web stacks. Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions under tight startup timelines. Spearhead efforts to build and ship innovative features powered by artificial intelligence. Guide the team in prototyping, evaluating, and implementing AI-driven enhancements that improve user experience and operational efficiency. Bring an iterative, MVP-first approach that suits startup speed and constraints. Design, define, and roll out the processes around new and existing initiatives. Own the full software development lifecycle—from design and requirements gathering to development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support. Ensure best practices in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional coordination. Set clear engineering KPIs and ensure on-time delivery without compromising code quality or system reliability. Optimize workflows and eliminate bottlenecks in collaboration with DevOps and QA.
