Requirements:
2+ years experience directly managing and growing teams, ideally remote/async 6+ years experience technically leading projects and driving multi-year roadmaps Ability to direct without micromanaging Experience implementing processes for performance reviews, career development, and hiring Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven experience designing and evolving complex, high-performance systems (developer tooling, compilers, runtimes, etc.) Skilled at leading technical design, product launch, and code reviews Nice to have: Prior experience building compilers or leading compiler projects Nice to have: Experience with open source and/or Rust projects
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and high-level guidance Mentor and act as a sounding board for technical decisions Drive product delivery, define MVPs, and manage scope Collaborate with product managers on technical roadmaps Build and guide a high-performing team Implement and improve team processes (performance reviews, hiring) Increase team transparency and communicate achievements Articulate team vision and connect work to Nomic's goals
