Requirements:
Board certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) is desired. Hold an MD or DO license. Active license in California (CA) or Illinois (IL) is required to begin. Willingness to work toward a total of 15 state medical licenses. Holding an IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) license is a strong plus. Background in Obesity Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Gynecology is required. Excellent digital communication and clinical documentation skills. Committed to digital care delivery and patient confidentiality. Enthusiasm for obesity-focused virtual medicine and patient education.
Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual patient visits to assess and manage non-emergency health issues, emphasizing obesity and metabolic health. Deliver personalized, evidence-based treatment plans for weight management and chronic disease prevention. Document all consultations using the electronic health record (EHR) system. Partner with other remote clinicians for integrated care solutions. Keep current with obesity medicine advancements, telehealth practices, and treatment standards.
