Associate Staff Attorney

Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the bar in Wisconsin and in good standing. General knowledge of insurance law, workers’ compensation. Proficient in e-discovery, case management systems, and basic legal analysis tools. Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills. Basic knowledge of negotiation techniques. Demonstrated ability to manage cases from start to finish under supervision. Effective communication and persuasion skills, both written and oral. Ability to collaborate with clients, claims professionals, and senior attorneys. Organized, process-oriented with strong time management skills.

Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, hearings, trials, mediations, and drafting legal documents. Provide legal opinions and strategic advice to Claims Representatives and insured clients. Utilize e-discovery and case management technologies. Identify, evaluate, and collaborate on strategies to mitigate legal risks. Ensure all legal documents are meticulously prepared, accurate, and compliant. Provide clear, consistent, and timely updates and recommendations to clients. Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and best practices. Uphold the highest standards of legal ethics and compliance.
