Requirements:
- 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in a data engineering or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
- Hands-on programming experience with Python for data processing tasks.
- Experience working within a major cloud environment (GCP preferred; AWS, Azure also valuable).
- Experience working with complex, large-scale enterprise media data is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT principles and experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Data Fusion).
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and database design.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and implementation of new data pipelines using GCP services like Data Fusion, Cloud Functions, and Dataproc.
- Author, execute, and optimize complex SQL joins and transformations within GCP BigQuery.
- Assist with data modeling and schema design.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing data pipelines.
- Translate technical requirements into functional code and support the deployment of data solutions.
