Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of core networking concepts: routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
- Deep knowledge of AWS networking services: VPC, Subnets, NAT Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway.
- Experience with cloud-native security and connectivity patterns.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of load balancing technologies (e.g., ELB/ALB/NLB).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Architect and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure on AWS.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues and outages.
- Automate network tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Cloud Engineering teams.
- Lead network-related projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Document network configurations, processes, and updates.
- Manage network-related tools (firewalls, load balancers, monitoring systems).
- Stay current on new technologies and recommend improvements.
