General Interest Application for Mental Health Therapists

Current and unrestricted license to practice independently without supervision. Minimum of 1 year experience in a school-based setting or with school-aged children. Ability to obtain an acceptable Fingerprint (FBI) Criminal Background check upon hire. Working knowledge of diagnosis and assessment practices, treatment strategies, and interventions for children and families. Telehealth experience preferred. Strong technological skills, including ability to learn new software and complete digital documentation. Effective communication and collaboration with diverse populations. Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize information and tasks. Effective and proactive communicator (verbal and written). Willingness/ability to gain licensure in other states as needed. Possess a private space free from other people to ensure confidentiality. Willingness/ability to go through Hazel's credentialing process.

Provide virtual mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to K-12 students. Diagnose and conduct initial mental health intake assessments. Create individual treatment plans according to student needs. Conduct clinical screeners and ongoing assessments of student progress. Collaborate with the care management team. Obtain credentialing and additional clinical state licenses as requested. Participate in trainings, meetings, and other clinical team activities. Ensure accurate and timely documentation. Maintain required weekly availability and productivity levels. Provide consultative telehealth crisis support for school partners or students, as assigned.
