Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting at a management level or higher, with at least 2 years in a startup environment (pre-Series C).
  • Hands-on experience managing the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Proficiency in SaaS-specific accounting complexities, including revenue recognition and deferred revenue is ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve financial systems and implement scalable processes.
  • Experience working with external auditors and managing audits and tax preparation from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and compliance requirements.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting tasks, including management of the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly close processes.
  • Manage the monthly reconciliation of all key accounts including P&L revenue, deferred revenue, deferred commissions, accruals, prepaids, and other key balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and compliance with GAAP.
  • Partner with external accounting firm to complete annual audits and tax filings.
  • Drive improvements to internal financial controls, systems, and processes to scale with company growth.
  • Implement best practices for SaaS-specific accounting.
  • Support M&A activities, including integration of acquired entities into accounting systems and processes.
