Frontend Engineer - Transition to Test Engineering

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in software engineering or frontend development.
• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Strong command of JavaScript and experience with at least one additional programming language (Python, Ruby, Typescript).
• Excellent understanding of software development concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD setups and tools.
• Familiarity with REST API concepts.
• Sound understanding of test planning, test case design, and test data management is a nice to have.
• Experience in creating and managing automated build, test, and deployment environments is a nice to have.

Responsibilities:

• Automate testing wherever possible using a variety of testing tools and frameworks.
• Train and coach other engineers on best practices in testing and test automation.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in manual processes using automation.
• Collaborate with the team to define the overall testing strategy.
• Develop, maintain and improve CI/CD principles and tools iteratively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability.
• Work closely with the product team to ensure all features are well-defined, tested thoroughly, and launched successfully.
• Review and report on health of the test suite, coverage, and defects.
• Evangelize and drive adoption of software development best practices in code health, quality, test stability, and maintainability.
