Requirements:
5+ years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.). 2+ years of experience using Intuit Tax Online for tax preparation and filing. 2+ years of experience using QuickBooks Online in a professional setting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant subject; industry certification such as CMA or CPA preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of IRS rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Individual and business federal and state tax returns on behalf of clients. Electronically file tax returns on behalf of clients. Ensure compliance with government tax rules during tax preparation. Research and stay updated on IRS and state/local tax rules. Meet with clients via virtual meetings as needed to answer questions. Identify tax savings and suggest ways to reduce taxation. Advise clients about tax liabilities and related matters.
